Who is this course for?

This course Is for people who have a creative ability but do not have the time to develop it. Once you have purchased the painting materials for the course it is designed to fit around your lifestyle.

How long does the course last?

This course is designed for four to six weeks to allow you time to indulge in each section of the painting skills. Named by one of our students as “a one stop shop for beginners” (Stephanie) the course is fast paced but will leave you wanting to know more about how to improve your painting.

Why should I choose this course?

I have been running art workshops for over fifteen years to all ages and abilities in a 1:1 setting and with large groups. I specialised in teaching art to young people with learning disabilities and, as a result, my understanding of how to best communicate creative practice is both effective and person centred.

The flexibility of this course allows you to dip in and out as you welcome it in to your daily life. You will re-awaken your passion for paint and creativity and every day you will be thinking about art in a new light after starting the first module!

You will learn techniques and tricks of the trade never known before. Furthermore, your understanding of colour will stretch to all areas of your life outside of this course. A student who is a make up artist after the course said “this was a great refresher for my make up business as the colour wheel is the foundation stone for understanding undertones and therefore what colours work with each individual.” (Carla)


Things you should know about this course.

The course is a condensed accelerator course in painting. The videos, expertise and curriculum are all included in the bundle price. Your materials are not included. I guide you where to purchase and source the materials for this course and by you taking the action yourself in finding the suitable tools and paint, you are already involved in making your art practice better.

Please note it is my intention that you get to know paint better during the course NOT that you buy the better paints and expect they will improve your practice. Expensive paints are not essential for this course.

Hello! My name is Aly and I am a Northern Irish based Artist, Educator and Writer who is passionate about placing importance on everyday moments, objects and places.

I work from a studio in Belfast which is conducive to my family life with my husband and our three young boys.

I was awarded a first class honours degree and a distinction in my Masters in Fine art which I completed following my degree. During this time I delivered art workshops to all ages and abilities. Now I deliver art workshops regularly all over Ireland. Having worked under the umbrella of 'art educator' for quite some time and due to demand, I made this course for the people who do not have the time to commit to my 8 week in person course or who live abroad. Uf you fall into these categories then this course is for you and I can't wait to teach you!

Through my teaching I guide each individual to unravel their true potential as an artist.

With over fifteen years experience running my art workshops I use my vibrant exciting teaching style to help you fulfil your potential and to enjoy art and paint.
